We chose to travel on Nautilus Explorer after recommendations from friends who had previously been on her and we certainly agreed that the boat, crew and diving lived up to our expectations.

The trip
On leaving Cabo San Lucas harbour we were treated to dolphins, sea lions, and two humpback whales, which were a good omen to the diving we were to experience. The diving started at San Benidicto with a check out dive which included giant mantas circling us at the cleaning station. This was a regular feature on virtually all of our dives throughout the trip! Everyone was enthralled by these magical creatures. They were so obliging for photos, videos and bubble blowing. As we moved on to Socorro Island we encountered pods of dolphins who wanted to play, to everyone’s delight, together with a resident silky shark, white tips, galapagos sharks and scalloped hammerheads. Reef fish were abundant and a turtle even appeared for a swim underneath a giant manta. On the last dive before departing Socorro we encountered a small whale shark on the safety stop. After Socorro we moved on to Roca Partida where we saw schooling hammerheads, silver tips, white tip reef sharks, galapagos sharks, and thousands of schooling fish. We also saw wahoo, tuna and giant jacks. The boat and crew lived up to expectations and we really enjoyed the holiday, company on board and our trip. Wynne and Pam, Aberystwyth, Wales, UK.
