From Captain Mike. The Nautilus Belle Amie will be departing late on her first trip

March 10, 2015 Written by Captain Mike

Oh man, I screwed up.   Despite a herculean effort by our crew and staff, our beautiful Nautilus Belle Amie will be departing late on her first trip.  The ship is currently at sea enrolee to Cabo San Lucas.  She is really gorgeous and already exceeding our expectations.   But due to a random series of bad luck from illness and injuries to brand new certified machinery coming apart, we can’t quite make our planned departure date.

So…  what does one do in a situation like this??   My best answer is to say frig, I’m sorry, this is my fault and I need to make it right to everyone, which means full refunds for everyone onboard and h*ll, because some guests decided not to join, why don’t you jump onboard for a free trip to Socorro Island.  Let’s go diving!!   Yes, I confirm that we are refunding their trip fees in full and their trip to Socorro will be free and without charge other than crew gratuities, gift shop and bar.

Special note for our valued guests who have gone diving with us at least once over the last 24 years….  We have several cancellations because of the late departure.    Please give boat operations a call at 1-604-241-1918 if you are interested in flying to Cabo San Lucas NOW and we will get you out to Socorro on this trip for FREE.    That is a small thank you to all the wonderful people who have already been diving with us..

My guiding principle on this is that ultimately, yes, we have had a brutal start, but we will finish strong!  With great memories of diving in Socorro on the first trip of the Nautilus Belle Amie.
