Although we saw no mantas on the first dive, there was plenty there; hammerheads, whitetips, silvertips, silkies and – for a lucky few – a tiger shark! With some awesome giant manta encounters later in the day, Socorro is quickly proving to be everything that we have heard about. Fantastic visibility and lots of big pelagic creatures. Now it is time for a pre-dinner gin and tonic on this lovely ship (it is too big and comfortable to call a dive boat). Fantastic day!
