Back in the driver’s seat

March 31, 2007 Written by

Location: Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico

Comments: I am back in the driver’s seat and can’t wait to go to sea.  Captain Dave did an incredible and excellent job but now it’s my turn to head down to Socorro Island (Islas Revillagigedos) for our last trip of the season with our friends, the giant manta rays of San Benedicto Island.  We are berthed in the harbour of Cabo San Lucas and in the midst of turnaround day.   Our guests disembarked at 0900 and we are now hurriedly cleaning, washing, tidying, provisioning, fixing stuff and generally scurrying around getting ready for our next group at 1700.  After that we’ll be sailing off into the sunset for a lovely dinner at sea and overnight run down to Isla San Benedicto.  Captain Mike

Weather: High thin overcast, 10 knot winds from the northwest, calm, 81°F

Water: Water temperature and visibility unknown
