My 11th Trip to Guadalupe Island

Excellent Trip! This was my 11th trip to Guadalupe Island to see and photograph the great white sharks. I began coming here in 2001.
The past three days were one of the most memorable trips that I have experienced at Guadalupe. The new Nautilus Under Sea and her crew were so courteous and professional and more importantly, they showed an earnest appreciation for our needs, whether first-timers in the shark cages, or veteran marine life photographers, like myself. They continually went above and beyond at every opportunity. I especially appreciated the hard work that the crew shared and the support they gave the shark wranglers to keep the sharks around us. They made sure every day that the sharks stayed interested and yet kept safety as their paramount concern (both ours and the sharks).
The divemasters shared the wrangling duties along with the captain and deckhands as well, while inside a special thank you must go to our chef Poncho whose fine choices of delights kept us well fed at every mealtime. The wonderful warmth and hospitality of our hostess Adrianna, who always had a bright smile for us day and night, made us feel like we were guests in a best friends home. This crew works well together and sees to it that every need was accommodated.
I will always remember this trip as one of the most active for shark encounters. We always had at least 3 sharks around the boat and often 7 or more. The shark action, excellent and attentive crew and first-class accommodations really made this my best trip to date. I will return in 2018 for sure!
